Chambourcin Cottage was designed and built by Te Awanga architect Steve McGavock. Its vaulted ceilings and native timber features throughout were inspired by renowned New Zealand architect John Scott. Renovated and tastefully decorated in 2016 by the talented Bibby+Brady interior design team, the furnishings, bedding, fabrics, kitchenware and amenities provide a warm, inviting, holiday experience.

Set in its very own boutique vineyard, the Cottage sits atop a rise offering lovely views over the vineyard, Heretaunga Plains, and the Kaweka and Huiarau ranges beyond. Our location is quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive to the stunning cliffs of Cape Kidnappers, the charming village of Havelock North, and the historic city of Napier.

About the neighbourhood
Chambourcin Cottage is located on the Te Awanga coastal wine trail, in a lovely neighborhood of private homes, boutique vineyards and family fruit farms. Our set in located in a working vineyard, and depending on the time of year, you may find us pruning, tucking, harvesting, etc. Feel free to ask us any questions about the vineyard - we love talking about it! We fortunate to live across the street from the highly renowned Haumoana Primary School. Our mornings are sometimes filled with the sound of tiny voices joining in a morning sing-along.
Getting around
We are located on the Te Awanga coastal wine trail.
A 10-15 minute walk to 4 wineries and the ocean.
A 15 minute drive to Havelock North, Hastings and Napier.
A 5 minute drive to Cape Kidnappers
We are an easy 10 minute walk to the local grocery store, bar and restaurants. You will require a car should you wish to drive to Havelock North, Napier, Hastings, or Cape Kidnappers.
