We stayed in Bear Britches lodge in July 2017. We had 18 people in our group. The size of the house is great. Seven bedrooms allowed for nearly everyone to have a bed, and not have to utilize the pull out sofas. It was large enough for us all to have plenty of space. There is a book in the house that recommends you bring your own water. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The tap water is terrible. It smells horrible and tastes bad. It was super soft and so hard to remove soap. Plus, the shower wasn't much more of a trickle, so it made washing hard.
The downstairs rooms had ants and drain flies. The floors were filthy. They looked swept, but our feet and socks were quickly black if we removed our shoes.
I would have given it a 4, but it needed a good mopping and there was a lot of trash left outside on the property. And the water was an issue.
The linens and towels were clean and there wasn't a long list of things to do before check out. Bring your own...
