We have stayed several times at the Dragonfly Barn because it is perfect for us and our dogs. There is parking, a lovely secure garden, it's in a quiet location and is comfortably furnished.

Yet another successful visit to this barn. The owners are great and leave you to get on with enjoying your stay but are on hand should you need anything. Short walk to the beach and lots of quiet lanes which is great for the dogs....More

About the neighbourhood
Mundesley is located some 22 miles north of Norwich, on the north Norfolk coast. It is a traditional family holiday destination, with first class clean beaches with beach huts, and many facilities such as a local museum, crazy themed golf course, three restaurants/pubs, post office, butcher, chemist, greengrocer, bakery, a very good charity shop supporting the local lifeboat, four cafes, a fish and chip shop/burger take-away (excellent), florist and hairdressers. North Walsham is 3 miles away and has 3 large supermarkets and a variety of small shops in the Market Place. It also has one of the largest parish churches in the country - a product of the historic past of the town. Inland there are many very good dog-walking areas, such as Pigney Woods, a nature reserve (dogs allowed under close supervision), Bacton Woods, Weavers Way (along the disused railway line, passing through glorious countryside and lakes), cliff-top walks, overlooking the sea, or just walking the local backroads; for example a mile from our gate to Trunch, which boasts a very good pub. For the anglers, there is good beach fishing off Mundesley, Trimingham, Happisburgh and numerous other local beaches. Good catches of whiting, cod, bass and flat fish are to be had here. Or, for the freshwater fanatics, there are a number of local fisheries, which, for a reasonable day ticket, can provide you with the potential to catch a specimen carp, tench or bream.
