Comfy beds and sumptuous soft furnishings make The Piggery a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. The far-reaching views across the valley and beyond will entice you to want to stay for longer! Yet there are many wonderful things to see and do in this part of North Wales. The Piggery’s great location starts immediately on the doorstep, with approximately 33 acres of the owners’ land you’re welcome to explore. It includes woodlands, meadows and natural ponds - lots of places to enjoy a private picnic and watch and listen out for the abundance of wildlife. A welcoming pub that serves food is within easy walking distance, while Conwy and Betws-y-Coed are within 10 minutes’ drive. In Conwy, as well as the spectacular castle, you’ll find a small historic quayside and nearly a mile’s length of medieval walls around the town, all of which can be walked. Also nearby is the world renowned Bodnant Gardens and its Welsh food centre, home to a fine shop and restaurant among other attractions. This part of the world has also become the adventure capital of the UK, with many zip lines and high ropes courses to try, as well as Surf Snowdonia and Bounce Below - where you jump around and clamber on trampolines and suspended netting tunnels deep inside old slate caverns! Bedrooms: 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom. The double room on the top floor is a mezzanine over looking the kitchen and dining area. The double and single are on the ground floor. Bathrooms: 1 ground floor shower room with WC, loo, basin and walk in shower cubicle. Kitchen: Well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining table. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, electric cooker, microwave and washing machine. Sitting Room: First floor galleried sittting room with comfy seating for all guests, TV and DVD. Guests also have access to the 33 acres of surrounding meadows and woodland which belongs to the owners. Heating: Gas central heating. About the neighbourhood
You’ll enjoy artisan craft and independent stores within a 15 minute drive away, as well as a great number of high quality places to eat and drink and many attractions. Make you sure you visit Conwy quayside where fishermen still hand-rake mussels from the rich waters of the Conwy estuary. Conwy boasts a packed calendar of events so often there is something interesting going on. Of course, a visit to the castle is a must, as is a walk along the town walls where you’ll fully appreciate the beauty of this little town and its delightful natural surroundings
Getting around
Good rail and bus links around Conwy, however a car is required due to the rural location of the cottage
