Terrific accommodation - beautifully converted barn with exposed beams, wonderful wood burning stove (although so warm we did not need to use it!) - and large kitchen - fresh flowers were a lovely touch and blown away by the chocolate cake waiting for us! Very...More

About the neighbourhood
We live next door to a working cattle farm. This is a friendly close knit community. Guests may use the paddock, pick fruit from the orchard, collect eggs from our chickens and help themselves to veggies from the garden.
This cottage is in the heart of the Somerset levels, despite being so close to the motorway. The village has a lovely church and a very rural pub. There are lovely walks along the river, especially to Burrowbridge which has a nice family pub.
The coast is 30 mins away (Burnham, Kilve, Weston Super Mare etc). There is walking on The Quantock Hills, The Brendan Hills and Exmoor is a short drive away.
The village is situated between market town Taunton and Bridgwater. Taunton has a wealth of really nice restaurants etc.
Getting around
You need a car or a bike to get around - there are no shops in the village.
Access

How to get there
Airport: Bristol: 40.0 km
Railway: Bridgwater: 4.0 km
We are just 2.2 miles form Junction 24 of the M5. We live in a rural location and you really do need personal transport to get around.
The cottage is actually on the National Cycle network, and its a great area for cycling (very flat!)
If you are flying in and renting a car, I'd recommend Bristol (45 mins) or Exeter Airport (60 mins).

Nearest Beach: 15.0 km.
