Located in the centre of Seaton this makes the perfect base for exploring the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast, the unique birdwatching environment of the Axe Marshes or just enjoying the clean, gently shelving pebble beach. Other local attractions include Seaton Tramway, Pecorama Model Railway and the picturesque fishing village of Beer. The long flat promenade is perfect for a stroll by the seaside or you can always pop over to the neighbouring towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis for rockpooling or fossil-hunting.

A casual glance gives the property 5 stars. However 2 items that would not normally happen in the usual course of events spoilt the score. A towel rail falling off the wall that had been badly put back including bending the brackets and replacing a...More

Lots of thoughtful extras like toys for the children, lovely scones and a loaf of bread on arrival. Parked up the cars and just walked everywhere!

About the neighbourhood
Seaton itself has a long flat promenade for strolls with a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants and an interesting and varied selection of independent shops. Axe Cliff Golf Club with its beautiful cliff top course and Seaton Tennis and Bowls clubs welcome visitors. There are a good variety of children's play areas and the main public park slopes down to the sea front.

You may also like to visit the unique electric tramway which also gives marvellous views for birdwatching in the Axe Estuary or see the Model Railway Centre at Pecorama. The neighbouring pretty fishing village of Beer has many excellent restaurants, tea shops and galleries and also in the local area are the nationally renowned restaurants, River Cottage H Q & Canteen and Hix's Oyster House.

Railway: Axminster: 14.0 km
Ferry: Plymouth: 120.0 km
The easiest way to arrive is by car and there is a private covered car port to the rear of the property. As this is a rural area, most visitors prefer to have their own transport however the nearest railway station is Axminster and there are regular trains from London Waterloo and bus or taxi transfers for the seven miles to Seaton. Trains from London Paddington also run to Exeter and Taunton (approx 25 miles) as do National Express coaches and bus connection through to Seaton.
