The small village has many facilities,due to its popularity with both day and longer stay visitors,it has coaching inns, cafes,delicatessens,a gift shop,antique shops and a cheese shop. There are opportunities for climbing,caving,water sports,hang gliding and mountain biking. Footpaths and bridleways abound,the walk from Hartington down Beresford and Wolfscote Dales,alongside the River Dove and onto Dovedale,is rightly considered to be one of the finest in the area. Excellent use can be made of the extremely scenic bus service which passes through local villages,enabling walkers to catch a bus out and walk back to the cottage. Stepping into the cottage leads you into the cosy lounge which has a wood burner effect electric fire,comfy sofa's and armchair just waiting for you to sink into a... The upstairs kitchen/diner boasts exposed beams with electric oven and hob,fridge/freezer and microwave. The dining area offers a wonderful spot for breakfast to plan your days activities. The double bedroom offers everything you need for a relaxing stay including a TV for lazy mornings in bed. There is also a modern en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC,don’t forget your bubble bath to make the most of the facilities on offer. Outside the cottage offers a shared courtyard with seating and BBQ,a perfect spot on a summers evening. Guests can benefit from the use of the shared external TV room which has Sky sports, BT Sport and films on offer and comfortable sofas,located within the courtyard and is the former garage. There is off-road parking in the courtyard for one car.
