There is plenty wildlife to capture through the lens, with seal colonies in the bays, also dolphins and otters making regular appearances. . Why not just fish in the bay. Very very peaceful. Manish is lovely in Winter months with Autumnal skies and cosy evenings in by the fire. Excellent place for kids and pets. More

About the neighbourhood
Western Isles Manish. Area is called the Bays with single track roads. Each village is set round a small inlet of water. Very close to the shoreline. The roads do have passing places very few parts double track. Cottage off the Main road may seem out of the way for some. Skoon Art Cafe in the village just before so 5mins in the car. (Great Home made Chocolate Brownies.) New Talla-Na- Mara centre on the West Side 25mins away for coffee meals and local Crafts. Handmade Harris Craft Markets held in Tarbert 25mins away. Harbour Bistro in Scalpay is 28mins away it serves award standard fish dishes. If you are a keen photographer lots of wildlife in the bays otters, seals and seabirds. Great area for walking and getting off the beaten track.
Getting around
Car is best there are four buses a day for Manish during the summer. Local Taxis to hire too. Lovely walks in each village surrounding.
