This 5 bedroom house is the ideal rural retreat for a family holiday with lovely views in all directions.
It is about 7 miles from the lovely coastal town of Southwold with its famous pier and Admams brewery. Also a 3 minute walk from Brampton station allows you to take the train to the picturesque market towns of Halesworth and Beccles.
There are 2 reception rooms downstairs, one of which includes a snooker table. There is also a spare room including a floor mattress should it be needed.
Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, one with en suite, and 3 single rooms.
Outside the 1.5 acre garden is a beautiful place to relax. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool available from April onwards, a summer house and also a tree house to explore.

I've just returned from a weekend at the Moat House with friends, and as the previous reviewer said, the photos really don't do it justice. The weather was very warm for April so we were able to really enjoy the beautiful gardens and the heated pool. The house itself was spacious but with a cottagey feel, as it was full of character. It has two lovely log burners which it was sadly too warm to use! The owner has thought of everything needed for a self-catering holiday, and was at the property to meet us and make sure we were happy with the layout and information about heating, etc. The location is quiet and unoverlooked, with views of farmland to the rear. We hope to book again in the future, as we enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay.

Photos don't do this place justice. It is a perfect retreat - tons of space and a relaxing feel to it. Just a short walk from the station so if you really want to hibernate for a week without a car this is totally possible. Alternatively a great base to explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside - beach meets country walks, cycles down the country lanes.

A beautiful part of the country with Southwold and Walberswick beaches nearby.
Suffolk Coastal Heath is close by including Dunwich Forest which has lots of forest trails. Also Minsmere RSPB nature reserve.
Getting around
The train from Brampton station takes you in one stop north to the prettymarket town of Beccles. A further 3 stops and you will be in Lowestoft. Going south it's one stop to the small market town of Halesworth. Several stops further and you will be in the county town of Ipswich.
By car you can explore the local area on mainly quiet roads. The quiet roads also make it an ideal place to explore on a bicycle.

By train you would alight at Brampton station, which is a request stop. Then walk left up the hill until you see a bridle way sign. Turn left here and the house is on the left down a drive. A 3 or 4 minute walk in total.
If you are coming by car from the south you would come up the A12 and then turn left up the A145 towards Beccles. Then as you enter Brampton turn left down Station Road. 5 minutes down here and you will see the bridle way sign. Turn right down the track and the house is on the left. Coming from the north or west you would come along the A143 turning left at Bungay down the A144. Then turn left at Ilkeshall St Lawrence primary school towards Redisham. Turn right in Redisham on the bend (careful) down Station Road. Over the railway line, up the hill until you see the bridlew...
