Completely refurbished in the spring of 2013. We are taking our first bookings from July.

The Old Post office Geldeston is situated in the picturesque Waveney valley on the Suffolk Norfolk borders. Built around 1820, it formed part of the Dowson brewery and was home to the Master Brewer. When the brewery closed in 1858 it became a small village shop and later the sub Post office, until its closure in 2005.
Across the road you will find the River Waveney with riverside walks, idyllic course fishing and bird watching. Rowan Craft boatyard have canoe and electric day boat hire, enabling you to enjoy the quiet and natural beauty of the Broads. If you have your own craft there are two slipways to gain access to the river

Reviewed 6 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I can't rate this holiday home highly enough. The house was immaculate and far bigger in size than we had anticipated. The owners had thought of our every need and we enjoyed a very thoughtful welcome pack. The area in which the house is situated is beautiful with 2 great pubs within walking distance. All in all a wonderful Easter break. We shall definitely be returning. Our two small children loved it, so many toys for them to play with. Wonderful. Thank you Sue and Steve.

Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed here recently with my two young children and my mother. The Old Post Office is beautiful, the place is spacious and comfy and the 'play room post office' is superb. My daughters were obsessed with it and on the rainy days before we decided what to do spent hours in there happily playing.
The bedrooms are lovely and everything was perfect. I highly recommend staying at this place it's lovely and I want to go back with my husband as soon as he can he get leave. The only very small downfall for me was there was only one toilet. But obviously it wouldn't stop us going back. Ideal location for everything nearby and the unexpected welcome pack was just a perfect touch
