Escape to your private Polynesian Villa on Motu Ahuna and enjoy the luxurious, isolated sanctuary of your exotic fare on Bora Bora, considered one of the most exclusive and beautiful island destinations in the world. Separated from the main island, Motu Ahuna was the traditional retreat of Bora Bora’s high chiefs, and where Puni, a fierce warrior-chief, exchanged gifts with Captain James Cook, the first European visitor. The exceptional location of the islet, with its incredible view of mythic Mount Otemanu across the turquoise lagoon, never lost its attraction and served as natural decor in several classic South Seas films like “Tabu” or “Mutiny on the Bounty” with Marlon Brando. About the neighbourhood
Villa Ahuna is situated on the southern end of Motu Ahuna islet.
There are no direct neighbors, but about 7 Polynesians live on the northern part. As you may have seen on our website, Villa Ahuna consists of 3 fare (traditional Polynesian houses) built right on the beach facing the prevailing trade winds, which provide ventilation and keep mosquitos away. The middle fare is quite large and serves as lounge, bar and kitchen, its sides are open but equipped with blinds. The kitchen has a simple gas stove and a solar powered refrigerator.
