APARTMENT 241 Brand new and superbly furnished in a contemporary Caribbean style, the apartment features a Double bedroom En Suite, with French doors opening on to the covered terrace with swaying palms just a few feet away. The bedroom is air conditioned and it also has a ceiling fan, however there is always a cooling breeze from the bedroom window. There are two fitted wardrobes and two bedside cabinets. The second bedroom is a twin bedded room with ample space.,there is a double wardrobe and bedside cabinet with table lamp. This bedroom is also air conditioned. There is an additional house bathroom with a walk in shower. Both bathrooms have illuminated mirrored units. The spacious lounge diner is decorated with artwork and accessories to make this a truly well appointed luxury holida... The kitchen is equipped with an American style Fridge/Freezer ice maker,cooker and microwave. There is also a washer and tumble dryer, as you would expect all the crockery,cutlery and utensils required for your holiday catering needs are supplied. There is a large covered terrace for outdoor dining or relaxing with ocean and pool views. The dining table seats four, plus there are two very comfortable upholstered sun loungers. In the lounge area there is a 43 inch flat screen television and we have recently installed an internet TV box which features numerous channels. High Speed Wi Fi is available in the apartment.. All towels and linens are provided including beach towels. The hot water system is solar powered and all other appliances are electric. The apartment and terrace are strictly no smoking areas! VUEMONT There are some great facilities to enjoy at Vuemont whilst on your holiday. Enjoy relaxing at the Club House with its amazing infinity pool or visit the cascading two tier pools near the apartments. If you enjoy sport then how about a game of tennis, a visit to the gym or a jog around the track within the estate. There is no charge for any of these activities unless you use the floodlights on the tennis courts. A courtesy shuttle is provided to Speightstown and Holetown 4 days a week at 9am returning at 2pm, so a car hire is not completely necessary if you don't wish to drive. Just book with the administration office 24 hours prior. If you do hire a car then the allocated parking space is right outside your front door of the apartment. SECURITY There is 24 hour security at Vuemont and a gated entrance. On your arrival the keys to the apartment will be with staff at the security gate. They have been made aware of your name and number of persons arriving. IMPORTANT NOTES. Only persons named, booked and paid for are permitted in the apartment at any time. Any additional persons wishing to visit the apartment will need the prior permission of the owners in advance. Please note that your key fits all doors in the apartment .On departure please return the key to the security office. AIR CONDITIONING Included in the rental price is 100 units of electricity per week. Any consumption over this will be charged to your damage deposit.Our experience shows that 100 units per week is more than adequate for comfortable living, however the excessive and unnecessary use of air conditioning can considerably increase consumption. OWNERS LIABILITY The owners of Apt 241 Vuemont do not accept any responsibility for any loss,damage or injury to persons or their private belongings however caused while they are staying at the property.Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover you and your party whilst on holiday in Barbados.By paying your 25% deposit or full payment for your stay you have agreed to accept the above liability conditions. LOCATION Vuemont is well located for visits to Speightstown and Holetown where you will find bars, restaurants, shops and boutiques. A little further down the West coast and you will be in the capital Bridgetown. In the apartment you will find a selection of current magazines and guide books to help you choose which places to visit. The 'Barbados in a nutshell' booklet lists all the tourist activities you will need, their locations and contact details. This rental for the price should have cable and a phone as the WiFi is unreliable and I had to go outside to the clubhouse every time I needed to make a call. There is AC in the bedrooms but not the rest of the...More

About the neighbourhood
Vuemont originally a Sugar Plantation has a commanding view of the local area. Take a stroll down Mount Brevitor towards the main highway and halfway down (7 minutes) you will see two small variety shops owned by local people they will be delighted to serve you with fresh produce they have that day. A little further on (3minutes) you will see Trimart supermarket this is well stocked for your daily requirements. Close by the supermarket is the bus stop to Speightstown which takes about 5 minutes. In the town you will see many street traders, a fresh fish market, a doctors surgery, pharmacy and a host of other shops and stores.There are also banks, with ATM's, the local post office and a great beach with bars and restaurants nearby.
Getting around
We always say that a rental car is useful if you want to explore the island.Just like anywhere else. We do however provide a free mini bus shuttle service every Mon Wed Fri and Sat to Holetown or Speightstown. The times are approx Depart 09.00 Return 14.00. As well as that there are small ZRs which are private minibuses that operate to Speighstown about every hour. passing outside the entrance of Vuemont Fare is $2 Barbados dollars each journey. There is a local supermarket within walking distance to get most everyday items Walk time about 15 mins.
