The location of this wee house is perfect, so peaceful, such a special location. The house has everything you need, is very clean and well presented. Will definitely be returning.

Near the sea and the Pancake Rocks. The owner sent me an email and told me to be sure to bring all of our food needs in if we didn't want to use the cook/service he tells you about. What fun to make do, and after all these weeks of eating out it was nice to sit back for two...

We stayed two nights in Paparoa Whare. After a long day of travel through Lewis Pass we arrived at this heavenly retreat. Wharepuni is situated on the South Islands West Coast, 3 km’s north of the world famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes at Punakaiki.
Located in the heart of Paparoa National Park, the cottage is surrounded by sub tropical rainforest with stunning 360 degrees views of the Tasman sea and the National Park.
Walk 2 minutes to Truman track and on to the breath taking Truman beach, this is one of New Zealand's best short walks. The beach has huge limestone cliffs and waterfalls cascading on to the beach.
Drive 5 minutes up to the Pancake Rocks to experience the raw power of the Tasman Sea pounding the cliffs sending plumes of sea spray high into the air.
