An elegantly furnished, fully renovated sottano-style studio with period features (high ceilings, precious painted floor) with separate kitchenette and shower-bathroom located in a former historic pharmacy. Thanks to its street-level access, you can live like a local and put deck-chairs out on the beautiful old piazza. The rooftop terrace offers stunning seaviews and Porta Vecchia beach with crystal clear water is a five minute walk away. Weekly cleaning and change of towels and bedlinen (50 € per week).

A five-minute-walk through charming old streets will take you to the Porta Vecchia beach near the antique city wall with crystal clear water perfect for a morning or afternoon swim. Afterwards, you can shop for fabulous local produce at the farmers’ market, explore the city and its storied surroundings (an experienced private guide can be booked), or eat out in one of the many family-owned Trattorie serving delicious Apulian cuisine, one of the best in Italy. If you wish to improve your Italian or learn more about Italian culture, private lessons are available with an Italian university lecturer fluent in English and German. Watch a spectacular sunset from the rooftop terrasse before stepping out for dinner or enjoy a glass or two of wine.

Monopoli is just 45 minutes by train or car from the international airports in Bari or Brindisi. Also, only a short ferry voyage via Brindisi from Greek Corfu, Peloponesia, and Dubrovnik in Croatia.
The apartment is in Largo Palmieri, 23 in the ancient part of the city, which is closed to the traffic, except from 8.00 to 10.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00 Mon-Sat. If you have a car, I suggest you to park in the old Porto Area or in Porta vecchia beach, at the end of Via Cadorna, in front of the beach. Those are free parking area very close to the apartment, about 4 minutes walking
