One bedroom barn conversion set within the North York Moors National Park in the valley of Bilsdale. This south facing 200 year old character property has been tastefully converted and retains many original features whilst introducing the 21st century. Large open plan living space with vaulted beam ceilings, wooden floors and wood burning stove. Oil central heating throughout. Fully equipped kitchen with ceramic hob and double oven, dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and toaster. Dining table and chairs, large 3 seater sofa and matching arm chair.

40' Smart HD LED TV with Freeview and Netflix, DVD player, digital radio and Bluetooth speaker. WiFi provided free of charge.

Well-equipped and comfortable cottage for two people with superior views. Excellent location for visiting sites throughout north Yorkshire.

Bilsdale is a special place in the North York Moors National Park. The dale lies beside the Coast to Coast Walk and the Cleveland Way, between the viewpoints at the tops of Clay Bank to the North and Newgate Bank to the South. Bilsdale is one of the greenest and most picturesque of the dales, renowned for the number of public footpaths and bridle ways.

The scenery along the dale is outstanding, framed by the moors with a traditional farming landscape - fields with boundaries marked by dry stone walls, farm houses and agricultural buildings constructed in local sandstone with clay pantile roofs. Leave the A1 at the Junction for Thirsk. Thirsk has numerous shops and supermarkets for picking up and groceries and supplies you might need for your stay at Low Crossett Cottage. From Thirsk take the A170 to Helmsley via Sutton Bank. The North York Moors National Park have a Visitor Centre at Sutton Bank and it is definitely worth stopping at the centre where you will find information on all the local attractions and events. From Suttone Bank continue to Helmsley on the A170. The market town of Helmsley has cobbled streets lined with shops inns and tea rooms. From Helmsley take the B1257 towards Stokesley. Low Crossett Cottage is located approximately 9 miles from Helmsley.
