Welcome to Amberskye Annexe, named so because on certain days, during sunrise and sunset, you can expect to see these shades of amber, pink and purple on the horizon.

Amberskye is situated on a hillside just under 2 miles east of Lairg, where you have local shops, eateries and a petrol station at your disposal.

The Annexe itself comprises of:
One Bedroom  with Double Bed and Wardrobe
One Bathroom with Shower-over-Bath (don't let this fool you, it is very hot and powerful!)
Kitchen/Diner and Lounge area with Woodburning Stove, Dining Table, Sofa and TV.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the annexe, however, it should be noted that mobile coverage is very unlikely indoors 
An Amazon Firestick as TV reception is poor**

We will be using the same driveway as guests, but other than this our interaction should be minimal.
However, we're always happy to answer any questions or have a general chat with our guests, if we're home, so feel free to pop over to the main house.

Stayed at the annex for half term, we enjoyed the peace and tranquil atmosphere and espically the dark nights without street lights (makes a huge difference). The annex is well equipped with utensils and crookery. Pretty much has all you need, if not just ask the owners who are very accommodating. You also get your own outside area to sit...

Tomich is a quiet, crofting neighbourhood situated less than 2 miles from Lairg village.

Lairg itself is known as the Crossroads of the North.
From here you can reach the east, west or north coasts and join the NC500 (North Coast) route around the top of Scotland.
Getting around
There isn't a lot of public transport, so walking or driving would be your best mode of transport around the area; however, for trips into Inverness or up to Thurso/Wick, Lairg has its own train station.

Airport: Inverness: 87.0 km
Railway: Lairg: 3.0 km
It is difficult to get to Lairg without a car, but there is the option to take a train from Inverness station up here. If this is your mode of arrival, let us know and we'll pick you up!

If coming by car, drive toward Lairg alongside the loch (Loch Shin), turn right into the High Street.
Follow the street through the town and out onto the road signposted to Rogart and The Mound.
Whilst following the road along, take the second right turn on a lefthand bend (you will see a house at the fork in the road here). Carry on under the railway bridge and up the hill until you see the Amberskye sign on your right.
