17th century listed character 4 star detached barn on a four generation family beef & sheep farm. Situated in the heart of Mid-Devon countryside but easy to get to any part of Devon. Views of Exmoor & Dartmoor from the farm. Exeter or Barnstaple just over half an hour drive.
2 ensuite bedrooms making it ideal for 2 couples or for a family. One has a fourposter if you are looking for a romantic break. Each room has double & single bed(s) so can be used as twin or family rooms.
Lounge & fully equipped kitchen plus a downstairs wet room. There are wide doors and with the wet suitable for the less able.

We stayed at Stable Lodge for 3 nights during Easter holiday and I must say we really enjoyed it. It was very spacious cottage and very clean place, inside and out. Gill welcomed us and she was very friendly. In the kitchen, there was a tray of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits waiting for us, including lots of Easter...

STABLE LODGE is and excellent base in the Mid Devon Countryside,quiet and relaxing,with both coastlines within easy reach. Sleeping 6 or more,the cottage is very clean,with a well equipped kitchen and wifi. Both bedrooms are family rooms with en suite bathrooms. About the neighbourhood
An unspoilt part of rural Devon with lovely views over the rolling hills. Working farm with walks around the farm.
We have a local pub just a few minutes walk for meals.
We also have a renowned glass blower as a neighbour and we can arrange a visit for you on request to watch him at work.
Local village of Witheridge is 2 miles away for provisions & newspapers.
Tiverton. Crediton or South Molton are all 20 minute drive away for local supermarkets.
Getting around
A car is considered essential as we are in a rural location. There are public footpaths nearby should enjoy walking.
The Two Moors Way is not far from us.

Railway: Tiverton Parkway: 28.0 km
Ferry: Plymouth: 120.0 km
From M5 exit at Junction 27. Follow A361 Tiverton/Barnstaple road for approx. 6.5 miles. Ignoring the B3391 sign to Tiverton at Gornhay Cross continue to the Bolham roundabout, where you turn left to Tiverton. At the next roundabout second exit left, right at the next roundabout then straight across next roundabout with Morrisons on the left and the Hospital on the right. Then take the next right at the mini roundabout then 2nd on the left, signed the B3137 to Witheridge. Continue for approx. 10 miles passing through the villages of Withleigh and Nomansland.
