A modern 3 bedroom town house with two bathrooms and a cloakroom, front and rear terraces, and air conditioning/warm-air heating. The house is situated in a quiet road, and is one of only 14 properties sharing a garden and pool in a small complex called Altamar II, a few minutes walk from the natural, rocky beach, La Fontana marina, and the Arenal sandy beach. The patio doors on the front south west terrace lead into the living room with lounge and dining living areas. The kitchenette is at the rear of the house where there is a door to the rear patio and access to the adjacent pool and garden. There is a downstairs cloakroom. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor with stairs to the second floor and the large gallery bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The property is located ideally being 10 minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and beach of the Arenal. The Mercadona supermarket is only 10 minutes the other way. The property itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning is excellent and...More

We are a family of 5 (3 teenage kids). We found Altamar perfect for us, spacious,(kitchen a bit small) clean and really well equipped. Wifi and air con excellent. We did not need a car as Arenal beach was only 10 minutes walk and Javea...More

About the neighbourhood
The old town of Javea has several historical buildings set along narrow winding streets that all seem to lead to the church and market square at the centre. Several times a year the town bursts into life with the colour and noise of a Fiesta, often including bull-running through the streets, and fireworks. The port area is home to a local fishing fleet and a modern marina. Over the years it has also evolved into a trendy lunch and dinner destination with its waterfront restaurants and cafe bars. Dominating the fishing port is the modern silhouette of the Church of Nuestra Señora de Loreto, with its awe-inspiring roof imitating a ships hull.
Getting around
A car is not a necessary requirement for this property as it is located less than 500 meters from the main sandy beach of Javea and various supermarkets. The terrain is mostly flat with large, well maintained pavements and roads to all the local amenities. Javea also operates a very good and well priced bus system and timetable for getting about locally and accessing the Port or Old Town of Javea. However, it may be convenient to have a car for trips further afield or to other towns along the Costa Blanca.
