About the neighbourhood
In a short 'Impasse' off one of the squares in the old town, you are a minute or two from everything the town has to offer - the famous antiques market on Sundays and fresh produce markets on Thursdays and Sundays, over 30 restaurants and cafes, shops, waterways and waterwheels, beautiful old church and old town architecture. L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is ideally located within easy reach of a vast range of attractions and activities, from Roman monuments and the historical Avignon, to village and city shopping, wineries, historical hilltop towns to wander, cycle routes, golf courses and the beautiful Provence countryside. L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is well known for being the largest antiques centre in France, outside of Paris.
Getting around
The village has good train and bus access but if you have a vehicle for exploring Provence there is public parking in the adjacent square and surrounding streets. As the village has a busy market on Thursday and Sunday, parking can sometime be at a premium; but generally something is available not too far away.
