Condo/Apartment
There are three private bedrooms in this antique furnished unique apartment with a large patio-balcony filled with tropical plants, vines, and flowers. The spacious window filled dwelling has all hard wood floors and is adorned with three original stained glass features and five ceiling fans along with a chef's kitchen. As of September 2018 there are new window treatments and other details that give the bedrooms even greater privacy. We also installed a new dish washer and did remodel work in the bath including reglazing the bathtub. We hung new framed art and framed great music posters as well. There are new plants and lots of other new details about the apartment that are fresh and new. We are working, as ever, to make your stay with us here in New Orleans a more delightful experience ...There are three private bedrooms in this antique furnished unique apartment with a large patio-balcony filled with tropical plants, vines, and flowers. This place was perfect for our 1st trip to NOLA. It’s central to everything we were hoping to see. We rented a car at the airport, but only put 145 miles on it in a week, since we used the streetcars that stopped in front...More

We had a great time visiting New Orleans and staying in this gorgeous apartment. Patrick was very helpful and accommodating and the location was right next to the trolley, so transportation was very easy. I highly recommend staying here!

About the neighbourhood
The Mid City neighborhood is unique in New Orleans in many ways. First it is centrally located and a hub to which you have easy access to all parts of the city including having convenient interstate access for those arriving by car or to the airport. Our is 3 minutes from the entrance/exit off I-10. Mid City was hit very hard during Katrina and was heavily flooded for weeks but, not only has it's prior character been restored, there has been a renaissance of restaurants, retail shops, groceries, bars, pubs, nightclubs, parks, amenities, and attractions that have added renewed vigor and charm to the community. We have gathered menus from all over the area and recommend consulting 'Yelp', 'Urbanspoon', AroundMe', 'Open Table', or other widely available smartphone apps to assist you in fa...
Getting around
The streetcar runs past our BnB 24 hours a day every day of the year about every 20 minutes. It interconnects with all the other streetcar lines and makes getting around to various parts of town very easy. It takes about 15 minutes to ride straight to the French Quarter. A single streetcar ride is $1.75 but you can buy a day pass from the conductor on any streetcar or public bus that allows unlimited rides on all streetcars, buses and ferries for the whole day for $3.50. Most people never end up needing to use a car when you take advantage of the streetcar and also Uber and Lyft. That way you never need to worry about parking, parking tickets or any of that hassle.
