This is a special room in the house and will give you a favor of Ryokan, Japanese Inn. The entire room floor is covered with Tatami mats with sweet grass scent. The aroma and fragrance is very fresh and pleasant. There are special soft cushion mattress to sleep on. We recommend 1-3 people can stay in this room or two adults with two young children or 3 adults etc. There is a private shower bathroom made with beautiful white natural marble tiles. This is a favorite room for International travelers who accustom to Asian culture and popular among college students. Comfortable for sleep 3. With one queen size mattress and one single mattress .

At Norther Lights Mansion, we preserve original structure & architecture of the house which was built in 1880. There are original stained glasses windows in the front part of the house. There is a designed stained glasses on transom windows in the living room which display beautiful lightings on sunny afternoon especially in the winter time. The entire house has 7 original fireplaces, almost restored. The kitchen which is shared by all the guests and the host is available for guests to cook with Wolf’s electric stove.and small refrigerators. We provide unlimited drinking water, coffee, cappuccino or teas . Our host will help first time guests navigate transportation with easy. We are conveniently located with 10-15 mins to Times Square

We locate about 1 mile from Central Park North. Central Harlem which becomes one of most popular area to visit and live. We are in the middle of two famous restaurant rows in Harlem with many choices of international cuisines. There are some street parking but please check the signs carefully. Also pay parking is also available. We are close to famous the Apollo theatre, Harlem Museum, Wholefoods, Marshall’s Dept store are 3 blocks Walk.
Paris blues night club is around the corner.

Harlem business center is becoming the houses for African American fashions especially a soon to be a world sneaker paradise for shopping !.

If you arrive by bus to Port Authority take subway A or D express is the quickest way. B, C or 2,3.will take a bit longer get off at 126 Street station 3 short blocks walk .

Arrive by train, get off st 125 St station Harlem Walk toward West direction about 8-10 blocks or take a Yellow Cab .
