This three bedroom (2 br plus loft) rental, in Deck 2, near the Cape Cod National Seashore is an oasis unto itself! The condo is part of the wooded Deck 2 complex, which is situated around a lovely pond. Deck 2 is comprised of 31, contemporary free standing units, all interconnected by way of a quaint boardwalk. Our condo has a prime spot in the complex, adjacent to the pond, with a large comfortable deck, and lots of privacy. Before and after your trip to the beach, you can enjoy observing the birds from our back yard. Nature lovers will appreciate this haven which is all about harmony with the environment. Thoreau's words..'Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity,' describe this setting perfectly.

We visited Wellfleet for the Oyster festival and stayed at D5, Deck 2 Condo, which was perfect for us. 4 adults truly enjoyed this most comfortable condo, although it would have accommodated 6 as well. The setting is in a very nice thought out complex...More

This condo is in a perfect location close to beaches, ponds, and bike trails. The decor inside and out is impeccable! We loved every minute of our stay!

About the neighbourhood
Our unit is conveniently situated right between the ocean and the bay. Ocean beach, McGuire Landing is about a mile away. Marconi Beach is 3 miles away. Pilgrim Spring/Indian Neck on the bay side, is approx 1 mi away. PB Boulangerie is just 1/2 mile away with best pastries in the universe. The rail trail, for biking, roller blading is also 1/2 mile away!
Downtown Wellfleet, a 7 minute drive away, is filled with great art galleries, and restaurants such as The Pearl, The Bookstore (best oysters), and Winslow's Tavern. Wellfleet Preservation Hall hosts many fun diverse events. The pier, and adjacent Mayo Beach are full of activities incl. free Shakespeare, concerts, square dancing, Harbor Stage theatre (quite a gem!), and kayaking.
Getting around
The best way to get around the Outer Cape is by car. However, bicycles are another fantastic way to get to places without the hassle of traffic.

How to get there
Airport: Boston/Logan 2 hrs good traffic: 173.0 km
Ferry: Provincetown: 27.0 km
We are approx. 1 hr from the Sagamore Bridge. Get to this bridge or the Bourne Bridge, early in the morning (9-9:30am) to avoid peak traffic. You can go to the beach in Orleans, MA for a few hours, then shop for groceries at Stop and Shop just B/4 heading up to Wellfleet for your 3pm check in time. This is the nearest major grocery store, and is approx. 20 minutes from Wellfleet.
When you've gotten into Wellfleet, go to Kinlin Grover at 2548 Hwy 6 to pick up the keys. Now heading south, after passing Cottontail Road, look for the 'deck 2' sign on your left at 1780 Hwy 6. Driveway is slight decline. D-5 is toward the back of the driveway, set back on your right. There is dedicated parking in front of D-5, set in with a rail fence.
