First, the view is quite good, save for the power plant (i'm assuming) that was right in the middle of everything. The drive way was VERY steep. My wife nearly hyperventilated! The nights were surprisingly quiet. The house isn't very kid friendly, but it's not...More

Thanks for taking the time to write, Ryan. Yes, the driveway is steep (the house is on a mountainside) but there's plenty of room to park in front of the home if guests don't want to use the garage. I thought we had several outlet...More

About the neighbourhood
Our lodge is in a neighborhood off Sweeten Creek Road, on the side of a mountain called Sunset Ridge; you can enjoy those sunsets from our deck. There are roughly 30 homes in the area, and ours is one of the most secluded, with woods on all sides. There's no through traffic in the neighborhood, as there's only one road in and out of the area. We love the subdivision because it's both quiet and convenient to amenities such as full service grocery stores, restaurants and shops.
Getting around
Visitors may prefer to use their car to visit various sites, or you can hop on a trolley at the Visitors Center in downtown Asheville. There's a ghost tour as well as more routine ways to see the area..
