Maile House is a restored Sugar Plantation supervisor's home, with three bedrooms and two baths, high ceilings, wood floors, bay window, large kitchen, and private tropical yard with coco palms, gardenias, fragrant mock orange, plumeria, and a large gold tree with a swing. It is furnished with antiques and a collection from old Ka`u Sugar Mill. Telephone and cable TV are provided. VCR, along with a full kitchen and laundry facilities. It is located next to Pahala Plantation House in a neighborhood with large trees. Walking distance to library, parks, store, bank, swimming pool, gym, and tennis courts. We were very disappointed to see that the house is much more run down than photos show; desperately needs work! It's damp & musty,with mold in some rooms; don't bring books, or they'll get warped. Tons of bugs; we were attacked nightly by mosquitos! Place...More
