The yard was littered with old cooking equipment and the two trash cans at the front gate to the yard were half full when we arrived. The lighting in the house was limited, such that cooking in the kitchen was compromised and reading in the living room was a challenge. Some of the bedding had to be washed because it smelled like a large dog had slept on the bed. Both bathrooms had to be washed when we arrived. A sponge in the kitchen, a common amenity provided in all prior vacation rental homes, was not provided, although there were ample soaps and paper products.
