If you're looking for a truly dog friendly cottage in the Kidwelly area then you won't go wrong with Hafan Bach.
The cottage itself is comfortable and cosy, the fantastic hosts have really thought of everything to make your stay the best it can be for both humans and dogs. The garden is not only beautiful and well maintained but also very secure so no need to worry about the dogs. Perfect place to sit and read or have a drink. For the rainy days (we had quite a few), the cottage itself is great for spending time in.
The location is perfect for dog walks and there are some fantastic beaches within very easy driving distance plus Kidwelly itself has a good range of grocery shops, takeaways, delis etc.
A week's stay flew by and we didn't want to leave.

Perfection for doggies and people
We have now stayed at Hafan Bach five times and last year went twice as we enjoyed it so much. There are so many good things about the cottage and Kidwelly and surrounding area. The cottage is spacious and has an upstairs shower room and down stairs spacious bathroom. The garden is a delight and totally safe for dogs, it is really well maintained. We really loved the outside eating area and when we visited last year in August with our grandchildren spent most of our days eating outside. The surrounding area is a delight. There are great walks in Kidwelly itself and a stunning castle which you can see from the bedroom window. We went on the amazing steam railway and spent hours on the beach at Ferryside and we all loved Laugharne where Dylan Thomas had his writing room. His cottage is fantastic. Pembury is an amazing seven mile white beach with great woodland walks and perfect for biking and all you pay for is parking, a massive bargain. An incredible holiday cottage which we would recommend without hesitation

Cottage was like home from home, our German shepherd was so settled there,.
The surrounding beaches were amazing, you could walk for miles. The castles near were so interesting. Looking at the ruins, just being able to take your furbaby wherever you go, is always big bonus for us.

Wonderful cottage , home from home.
We visited here with our 3 dogs and our 3 kids. It is a real home from home, had everything we needed. I don't sleep when I stay away from home, but.... I can actually sleep when I stay here. The beds are super comfy, but it's not just that....I think its the homely feel.
One of our dogs is quite anxious in new situations but they settled straight in. The garden is lovely and bigger than ours at home so our daxie who isn't allowed of the lead had a whale of the time. Its perfectly located for exploring the town and all the surrounding areas. We went to Tenby, Llandeilo, camarthshire and everywhere inbetween. I have also visited and stayed several times on my own for a break, and with friends and always feel very safe and at home when I do. I would move in if I could x x I really would recommend anyone with or without dogs, looking for a base to relax in , with great walks and beaches on the doorstep to give it a visit. Such good value and lovely owners.

What a find!
What an amazing place Hafan Bach is! Dog friendly and very well equipped so it’s a home from home. I loved staying in Kidwelly with its Castle and so near to Carmarthen and the lovely beaches of Llanelli and Burry Port. Can’t wait to stay there again.
