We have stabling for horses, therefore you can bring your horse on holiday and as keen walkers/fell runners we can guide or point you in the right direction of some lovely walk/runs. You could also join us for a weekly Wednesday evening run with Meirionnydd Running Club to explore the lovely approx 5 mile routes. We also have another cottage nearby which sleeps an additional 6 people + a toddler bed and both cottages have cots/high chairs etc and the Stable cottage where B&B is provided if you wish which sleeps and additional 4 people. Breakfast can also be provided in the cottage. There is a Chinese and Indian takeaway in the town and these can be collected for you by us if required. There is a regular bus service which passes the bottom of the lane which travels into Dolgellau/Machynlleth and further afield. There is secure storage for bikes and also a hosepipe to clean any mud off from the number of mountain biking trails! Coed y Brenin Mountain biking centre is 20 minutes away and the beaches at Fairbourne/Barmouth are also 20 minutes away. Nestled under the foothills of Cader Idris and 3 miles from the Mawddach Estuary with it's 'flat' cycle route to Barmouth, which is stunning. It is with easy reach of Coed y Brenin mountain Biking centre and has plenty fo routes for walking, fell running and near to numerous beaches. Dolgellau boasts a number of quality award winning retaurants and apart form it's annual 'Sesiwn Fawr' festival, there is always plenty going on. away.
How to get there
From the North follow the Sat-nav for Dolgellau and when on the A494 from Bala and about 3 miles away from Dolgellau you need to turn left onto the B4416 signposted for Brithdir. Follow this road ALL the way to the A470 then turn right for Dolgellau. You will see some crash barriers on your left and a stone wall. Our entrance is at the end of this stone wall in-between a left hand bend road sign and a reduce your speed road sign. Follow the track bearing right into our yard. From the South follow the sat-nav for Dolgellau when on the A470 you will go through a village called Dinas Mawddwy and in about 5 miles you will see the Cross Foxes Hotel on your left. Stay on the A470 for 1.5 miles and our entrance is at the end of a stone wall left
