Holiday Rental House
Bryn Rhydd is a traditional stone cottage that has been carefully renovated by the owners to retain its country charm while adding modern touches of comfort throughout. The living area contains two comfortable sofas snuggled around a wood burning stove, but you'll find the large and light kitchen is a good place to relax too, with its oak floor and large range oven and hob. The cottage makes the most of its elevated position in the Bodnant Estate, with a southerly facing terrace that overlooks the fields and the forests below. The panoramic views over to the Carneddau mountains are simply breathtaking, and you'll probably spend a happy hour or two sitting out on the terrace and take in the view. While you're here, the estate is yours to enjoy. You're welcome to walk along the private paths...Bryn Rhydd is a traditional stone cottage that has been carefully renovated by the owners to retain its country charm while adding modern touches of comfort throughout. Attractions and nearby amenities At Bryn Rhydd, you don't need to go far to experience and enjoy the unique landscape of North Wales. The beauty of the Bodnant Estate is on your doorstep. You'll also find the Bodnant Garden Centre where there are some unique plant varieties. Conwy is a walled town with a history stretching back for centuries. You can get a feel for what it was like in the town through the ages at Aberconwy House, a medieval property on the high street where there's an audio-visual display. While you're in Conwy, make sure to have a look at the suspension bridge. This was one of the very first, and designed by that master of engineering, Thomas Telford. Conwy Castle looms over the town, and you can enjoy some spectacular views from the battlements. For something a bit more modern, the Royal Cambrian Academy is an art gallery in the heart of Conwy, where you can buy original art or souvenirs. If you'd like to burn off some energy, head over to the Zip World Fforest where you can get roped up and wander through the tree tops. Or for something even more energetic, Surf Snowdonia is a unique inland surf lake, where you can ride machine-created waves. No visit to North Wales is complete without a visit to Snowdonia. The peaks are magnificent and there's lots of walking to be had. With its gentle incline up the Llanberis Path, Snowdon can be conquered by most walkers – or you can rest your legs and take the train to the top. We have literally just returned from Bryn Rhydd and I had to write a review to say how fabulous it was. The cottage is in a secluded location, but is 20 minutes from Conwy/Llandudno/Betws-y-Coed so there is lots to do. We had young children with...More
