Surrounded by magnificent scenery, this detached holiday cottage is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday in a stunning landscape surrounded by mountains.
For the more adventurous, this area is famous for walking (The West Highland Way is just a short distance away), climbing, this area has a score of Munro’s, with Ben Lui close by, skiing, the peaks of Glencoe are a 20 minute drive away, cycling, fishing and golf are all available locally. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen with a pair of Golden Eagles returning each year to nest as well as deer, woodpeckers, pine martins, red squirrel, common lizard mice moles, voles and a rainbow of small birds all being regular garden visitors. Tyndrum's famous gold seam provides plenty of gold to be found if panning is your thing.

Had a fantastic stay at this cottage in late February/early March. Amazing watching the snow blowing from East to West in the biting wind, even more amazing that with large parts of the country gridlocked, each time we ventured out the roads were perfectly clear...More

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. An tigh beag is a great place to stay at and the landlord is very supportive. We will defenitely return.

Tydrum was born from the mining industry, situated on Scotlands richest mineral deposits. These days Tyndrum is better known as the half way point of the West Highland Way and the gateway to the highlands.

Scotland has recently been voted the most beautiful country in the world by readers of 'Rough Guide' and its easy to see why. The sandy beaches and emerald blue sea of Calgary Bay, Rannoch Moor & Glencoe, the steep rugged mountainous land that timeless and beautiful which are all accessible from our location near Tyndrum
Getting around
The location of the cottage lends itself more too a car for practical reasons but there is no reason you can park up the car in Tyndrum and use the extensive railways and boats to tour Scotland and see the sights whilst relaxing.

Railway: Tyndrum: 6.0 km
Ferry: Oban: 50.0 km
Most guests will approach Tyndrum from the south, if this is the case after the Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum take the left fork of the road towards Oban (A85). you will find the cottage is the first cottage on the left which is exactly 4.5 miles along this section of road. Usually the gate will be open to allow you to drive straight into the gardens.
