The stunning views across the loch from the lounge, kitchen and bedrooms are wonderful. It's amazing to watch the change in light over the mountains and water. About the neighbourhood
Lochgoilhead is a superb area for walking, marked trails as well of off-trail. Take to the water - hire a boat. There is a village pub & restaurant as well as an excellent leisure centre 1 mile away. Open to the public on a pay-as-you-go basis.

We are in an area begging to be explored. A car is best.

Airport: Glasgow: 64.0 km
Railway: Tarbet: 23.0 km
Ferry: Hunters Quay: 49.0 km
Lochgoilhead is situated just over an hours drive from Glasgow Airport. It is a small rural village, situated at the head of a sea loch (tidal lake) in stunning fjord like setting.

From Glasgow M8 motorway head past airport and follow signs for the Erskine Bridge. Over the Erskine Bridge follow the A82 for Loch Lomond.

Drive alongside Loch Lomond on the A82 until Tarbet (Note - There are several Tarbets in Scotland!) At Tarbet keep left onto the A83 passing through Arrochar.

Several miles after Arrochar you will start to climb a very significant hill. This is known as the 'Rest and be Thankful'. At the top of the hill there is a car park and viewpoint, and a small road signposted 'Lochgoilhead' .
