The location is close to restaurants and the shop. Helen provided a welcome pack which was much appreciated. The house was warm and well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

We have recently stayed and felt like home the minute we walked in the door. A big spacious house with everything thought off. Heating was on when we walked in every afternoon after being out exploring the local area. Great spot to see Neist Point,...More

Additional amenities & feature info
The interior is decorated in a modern style, with laminate and tiled floors downstairs for easy cleaning. The lounge has a 40in TV with a Nintendo wii, PlayStation 3 and x box plus multiple games and an electric log burner for all the enjoyment with no fuss. A fully equipped kitchen with dining table for 6 people, with views onto the Loch has an electric job and oven. We offer a wide selection of Scottish cookbooks which should tempt even the most basic of chefs. We have a highchair available in the porch for the smaller members, a potty, toilet seat and stool, along with cups and bowls are also supplied. There is a family bathroom with a shower above the bath, 700gm Egyptian cotton bath sheets and a selection of radox bath soaks to ensure complete relaxation during your stay. The 2 king size rooms each have a 40inch flat screen TV, both with DVD players and lovely pine and/or oak furniture. The twin room overlooks the Loch and has a 36in TV with freeview. All beds have Sealy mattresses for the ultimate nights sleep, with feather or memory foam pillows to suit all tastes and Egyptian cotton bedding. We have tried to use as much local arts / crafts in the house to showcase the incredible talent there is on the island. There are pictures and ceramics from local crafts people, sheep skin rugs and furnishings made on the island with details of where to purchase them. There are a wide variety of books and maps on the area as well as a selection of reading material for all ages, lots of Scottish history and wildlife as well as the latest Skye books. We have included a selection of DVD's, board games and toys to cater for all ages.

About the neighbourhood
The village of Dunvegan sits on the shores of the large Loch Dunvegan and the Old School Restaurant in the village is widely known for its freshly caught shellfish from the loch itself. Dunvegan Castle, home of the clan Macleod for over 800 years is just a 10 minute stroll away.
Getting around
Dunvegan is a fabulous base to explore from as you are in the centre of the island. You can take day trips to the various peninsula's whilst enjoying the fantastic scenery Skye has to offer right out the front door! The bus stops right outside the house and there are plenty of your companies offering a variety of tours to suit all ages.
