This house was an amazing find. It's an old crofter's cottage that's had an extension and it is a stunning example of how to mix heritage with modern amenities. It has a large dining kitchen with all mod-cons including a washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge is large with reclining sofas, a working fireplace, TV, Playstation and doors onto a lovely patio area. The bathroom is modern, with a deep bath and fabulous mains shower and a toasty-warm heated floor. The double bedroom is, again, quite large and features a desk and enough storage to spend the entire year.
The property features its own drive; big enough for a number of cars, and a pleasant garden.
It's located in Dunvegan on the western side of the island. It's a great location for some of the must-see sights including Dunvegan Castle, the Coral Beach, Neist Point Lighthouse and the Fairy Pools. Portree, the capital of the island, is about 18 miles away on a nice windy road.
