Spacious and well equipped house, making for a comfortable base. Right across a very quiet road from the beach and the water. Lovely quiet location and the perfect base to explore from. We had a great week and I am sure we will return.

About the neighbourhood
Cromarty is a picturesque historic town on the east-coast of the Highlands of Scotland. Interesting places to visit in the town are Cromarty Courthouse Museum and Hugh Miller's House and Museum. The former courthouse, built in 1773, now shows the history of Cromarty and houses exhibitions. There is also a courtroom scene with life-like figures telling the story of a trial. Hugh Miller was a geologist, editor and writer. The museum presents his life and work. The area is ideal for walking, birdwatching, mountain biking, and there are dolphin watching boat trips from the harbour.
Getting around
From the south: Cross the Kessock Bridge on the A90 and travel approx half a mile and take right turn onto Black Isle and follow signs for Cromarty on the A832. As you come down the hill into the village of Cromarty, with the playing field on your right hand side, take a left turn. Drive straight on passing church on left hand side until you come to junction at the waterfront. Turn left into Bayview Crescent and No. 28 is a few yards along that road. From the north: From the A9 from Allness or the A835 from Muir of Ord arrive at the Tore roundabout and take the A832 via Munlochy to Cromarty. As you come into the village of Cromarty the house (No. 28) is on the waterfront on the right hand side.
