Curlew Cottage is part of East Cambusmoon Farm, a 5 acre smallholding at the southern end of the world famous Loch Lomond. Completed in 2012 to highly sustainable standards and powered by renewable energy, the cottage offers superb levels of comfort and is well equipped for families and groups.

For a break during your stay from our rural tranquility, Scotland’s two largest cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible and provide many wonderful diversions including excellent museums and cultural interest.

A beautiful spacious retreat not too far from the hills. Loved it. Very clean and welcoming. Wood burner was great!

About the neighbourhood
Curlew Cottage is superbly well placed to explore this wonderfully scenic area. Walking and cycling from the door as well as outdoor and sporting activities abound with golf and water sports well provided for locally. Scotland's two largest cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible and provide many wonderful diversions including excellent museums and cultural interest and Stirling is also just a short drive away. The iconic Loch Lomond is within walking distance and one of the best views of the Loch is from Duncryne Hill, the top of which is just 20 minutes walk from the front door.

Railway: Balloch: 7.0 km
Ferry: Rosyth: 80.0 km
Glasgow International Airport is our nearest airport and is about a 25 minute drive away, whilst Prestwick and Edinburgh International airports are each about a 60 minute drive away. All are well served by the low cost airlines whilst Glasgow and Prestwick are also served by BA and BMI. Although in a rural location we are well placed for trips in all directions on the A road network. If you arrive by train it is easy to get a taxi or bus to the cottages. For cyclists we can usually meet you at Balloch station to assist with your luggage.
