The Old Post Office is located on Duck Street in the heart of Symondsbury village. Located close to Colmer’s Hill, it is the perfect cottage with a large enclosed garden and a games room.

The cottage is in a quiet location, yet just 5 minutes away from the historic market town of Bridport. It is only a 10 minute drive to West Bay, a seaside town made famous by BBC’s ‘Broadchurch’.

Our changeover days are Mondays and Fridays. Please contact us directly for midweek and weekend prices. Our minimum stay is 3 nights over the weekend or 4 nights during the week.

The cottage boasts a cosy sitting room with sofas, armchairs, an open fire and a flat screen TV with Freeview. Free WIFI and plenty of games are also available to keep you occupied.

The kitchen/diner has an ample supply of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The oval dining table seats 6 or 8 comfortably and the wood burner gives a wonderful warmth whilst dining on a cold winters evening.

There are 2 double bedrooms with zip and link beds to give guests the freedom to choose if they can be set up as a double or as two single beds. The single bedroom is spacious, and has enough room for a z bed if required. For added comfort, our guests are provided with top quality, white, crisp bed linen and white towelling dressing gowns.

The Market town of Bridport is located 2 miles away with markets on both Wednesday and Saturday, there is also a very popular vintage market on Sundays. Bridport boasts a number of individual shops as well as Waitrose, Morrisons and Lidls. Bridport is famous for being a 'foodies' haven wth fantastic restaurants, bistros and tea rooms. There are plenty of artist studios to visit and galleries plus the Electric Palace Cinema which hosts live music and comedy nights.

The beautiful beaches and cliffs along the coast offer plenty of walks and fish restaurants.
