Bridport, Dorset, England
Gullivers Cottage dates back to the 1790s and is situated in Shipton Gorge in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in large and private gardens just 5 minutes drive from the Jurassic Coast. The cottage has been carefully renovated for a fresh, airy feel and retains its quirky character and charm.

Gullivers Cottage is not just another holiday rental - it's our home from home, where we come to relax with friends and family and we hope that you'll feel the same way. The cottage is within easy reach of a wealth of stunning beaches at Burton Bradstock, Lulworth and Durdle Dor, the Chesil Beach, Lyme Regis and West Bay - the location for the TV drama, Broadchurch.

Gullivers Cottage is thought to be named after Isaac Gulliver, a local hero and notorious smuggler that owned land and property across West Dorset. Like many of...

My partner and I loved our stay at Gullivers' Cottage. It is a cosy place (as a traditional cottage should be) but still feels airy and spacious. The cottage has comfortable, home style furnishings and is very clean. The garden is large and secluded -...More

About the neighbourhood
The village is well connected with a network of footpaths and bridleways to Burton Bradstock and onward to the coast and to Bridport. There are no busy and noisy roads here - you can hear a pin drop.

You'll be surrounded by stunning countryside and the village has its own ancient hill settlement on Shipton Hill, where on a clear day, from the very top you can see three counties. The South West Coastal Path passes nearby and provides spectacular walks in both directions.

You'll find a friendly welcome from villagers and we're about 10 minutes drive from Bridport which is a pretty, trendy, bustling market town. Beside supermarkets, Bridport offers a superb range of independent and quirky shops, an amazing street market, a fantastic range of eating places and there is...
