Situated in the small village of West Charleton, less than two miles from the pretty town of Kingsbridge, with its pubs, shops, restaurants and supermarkets, the Linney is well-placed for enjoying the nearby South Hams' beaches of Torcross and Beesands, and the towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth. Apart from its proximity to the South Devon Coast Path, there is great selection of footpath walking straight from the door with access to the peaceful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and some equally delightful inland footpaths. A paradise for bird-spotters (there is a nearby village hide available for guests to use), the area is renowned for its flora and fauna. More

About the neighbourhood
West Charleton is situated less than two miles outside Kingsbridge, an attractive South Hams market town, with an array of shops and supermarkets, and of cafes and pubs for eating. The Linney is on the coastal road to Torcross and historic Dartmouth. It is also on a direct hourly bus route between Dartmouth and Plymouth on weekdays and Saturdays. The coastal villages of Torcross and Beesands are also just a short drive away and here you can access the magnificent South Devon Coast Path, from which you can get to some glorious unspoilt and secluded beaches. The upmarket delights of Gara Rock and Salcombe are within easy reach too. The locality is rich in bird and wildlife, all types of flora and fauna, and there is even a local village bird hive which guests may use overlooking the Kingsbri...
Getting around
With a regular bus service to Dartmouth/Plymouth which passes the Linney, a car, although useful, is not absolutely necessary. There is also a local bus service from Kingsbridge to Salcombe, a busy place in the summer months where it can be difficult to park.
