We live on site with our children and there is always someone here to help with advice and recommendations on where to eat out, beaches, places to visit and where to shop, etc. We are also there to help with any problems. We are also able to offer babysitting on request.

About the neighbourhood
Stancombe is situated in the heart of the South Hams an area of outstanding natural beauty in South Devon. The property is in a beautiful valley which is unspoilt and very peaceful but we are less than 10 minutes drive from the market and estuary town of Kingsbridge which has two supermarkets and a full range of individual shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. The coastal towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe are a 25 minute drive away and offer much to see and experience. Historic Totnes is well worth a visit with a fabulous flea and food market on Fridays and an eclectic mix of shops and eateries and historic buildings.
There is a huge selection of beaches to choose from both sandy and pebby and wonderful countryside and interesting places to visit.
Getting around
A car is essential as public transport is very limited although there are park and ride buses for busy towns such as Salcombe and Dartmouth where parking can be limited in the high season.
