About the neighbourhood
Webber Hill Farm Cottages, of which Moonseeker is the larger of our 2 cottages, is located about 1.5 miles from the market town of Okehampton and its shops and amenities, and about the same distance from the village of Sampford Courtenay - home to the Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549, and a very pleasant little village with a great pub, The New Inn.

We have lovely walks along leafy country lanes right from your door, which take you to Abbeyford Woods; Simmons Park in Okehampton will lead you up onto Dartmoor, or take the 5 minute trip in your car to Belstone (remember the film 'The Belstone Fox'?) and enjoy the beauty, peace and remoteness of Dartmoor no matter what the season.
Getting around
To get the most out of your stay you will really need a car as we are not on a bus route and the nearest railway station is Exeter St Davids, about 25 miles away. It is possible to get a taxi from Okehampton to us, so you could catch a bus from Exeter to Okehampton and then a taxi - but then you need to think about how you intend to get around.....
