PERIOD COTTAGE WITHIN EASY REACH OF TOWN AND COUNTRYSIDE

This semi-detached property adjacent to the owners property, is an historic 1850's former Chantry. The approach is via a tree lined driveway giving a feeling of privacy and seclusion yet only a short walk to the town of Ivybridge. The property lies on the edge of Dartmoor National Park which is directly accessible by foot.

Referred to as the 'Gateway to the Moors' Ivybridge forms part of the South Hams. Nestled between the natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park and the South Devon Coastline. With a good range of national and independent shops, restaurants, cinema, plus plenty of pubs to choose from. The excellent beaches of Mothercombe (AONB) and Bigbury on Sea with the tidal Island of Burgh are only a short drive away.

The lovely cottage was in an excellent condition in every respect. The living room plus kitchen is very comfortable and spacious. the kitchen was well equipped so we could cook our own meals. the location of Shantry Cottage is also very good for exploring Dartmoor...More
