Cots for children are available on request. The kitchen is fully stocked with all mod cons, and oil central heating available if necessary. Lovely lovingly maintained cottage in heart of Spiddal. Walking distance to great pubs/restaurants with traditional Irish music. Walk across the street to the sea and the local library. 6 stars!

Stayed here with my 2 grown children. Conveniently located on the main road through Spiddal grocery and pubs and restaurants were within walking distance. Owners were very helpful. It was easy to get to Connemara and to Cliffs of Mor by car. Charming cottage. A...More

The Spiddal area boasts a wide variety of activities and attractions that can be enjoyed by all. Spiddal has two local beaches. Trá na mBan, is located on the roadside east of the village, 1 minute walk from the cottage. Another beach is located beside a sheltered pier, accessible by a small road or path just west of the village. Needless to say, all your shopping needs can be met in Galway city. However, if you wish to stay local, shopping is available within walking distance in Standún's, a unique award winning family run store. For the golf enthusiast, there are a number of courses within easy reach. The 18 hole championship course in Bearna is a 15 minute drive, while there are other courses located in Leitir Mór, Oughterard and of course Salthill. Horse riding is available locall...

Tigh Lal's thatched cottage is located in the picturesque seaside village of Spiddal (An Spidéal), 12 miles west of Galway City along the Connemara coast road (R336). From Galway city follow road traffic signs for An Spidéal. Tigh Lal's thatched cottage is located in the centre of the village, minutes walk from all local amenities. GPS (53.24443; -9.30413) Car rental is available at all Irish airports. Public transport will bring you directly to Tigh Lals Thatched Cottage doorstep.
