Originally home to the horses that farmed the land, The Stables is now part of an exclusive development on the Lower Mill Estate, a stunning 450 acre private nature reserve.

Within metres of The Stables is access to the heated outdoor pool, fishing, beautiful walks (including Thames Path) cycle paths, tennis, sauna, shop, kayak and bike hire. The lovely old village pub is a ten minute stroll.

The Lower Mill Estate is located in the Cotswold Water Park. With over 140 lakes, there are plenty of activities to try such as fishing, sailing, waterskiing, kayaking and wakeboarding as well as fantastic cycling and lovely walks along the Thames Path and Thames & Severn canal.

A perfect base for exploring picturesque Cotswold villages and visiting historical towns such as Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford.

Fabulous location with great amenities and lovely cottage to stay in! Gary the owner was very accommodating and helpful! On hand was the activity centre, tennis court, and swimming pool all of which we used! Neighbours were also lovely! The cottage is small for 6 adults but worked brilliantly for us as the orchard at the back and outdoor space is fantastic! Great weekend stay!

My husband booked to stay here for our anniversary for two nights as a surprise. The first night it was just the two of us, and on the second night our three children joined us. Such a beautiful place to stay, so romantic and yet super kid friendly.
The heated outdoor pool was a huge hit along with hireing some kayaks and heading over to the beaver enclosure. Waking up I just opened the back door and off the kids went running around the orchard.
The place was immaculate and we had everything we needed on hand. I really can't fault our stay it was wonderful and I'm really looking forward to booking again soon!

Stayed here for a weekend in mid-May. The cottage is lovely and big enough for six adults, with nicely decorated rooms, linens and towels. The well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook a few meals, which we shared around the kitchen table.

Location is perfect, situated on the lovely gated Lower Mill estate which means you have the countryside right on your doorstep. Walks around the lakes to swimming in the heated outdoor pool, you couldn't ask for a more relaxing getaway.

Located within a Site of Special Scientific Interest nature reserve, the cottage sits within 450 acres of abundant wildlife and unspoilt countryside. Set within the private Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswold's Water Park, visitors have access to the activities and facilities on the estate.

Decades of glorious neglect from industry, followed by another decade of sensitive development, have created a huge unpolluted nature reserve with flourishing flora and fauna.

With professionally tended woodland, lakes and meadows all within the estate’s expansive boundaries, the vast array of resident and visiting wildlife includes beavers, otters, muntjac deer, kingfisher, grebes, badgers, herons, barn and tawny owls, egrets, teals and sand martins.
