Blythe Cottage is very central. It has easy access to the beach, shops & pubs. It has a fully fitted kitchen (range, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble drier). The lounge has a duel fuel fire & BT hub TV. Good heating throughout. Bedrooms with ample storage. Bedding and towels supplied. The garden has a large table, chairs, BBQ & a sunny aspect. Lovely for a hot summer evening. The top deck has bar seats to take in the view of the village. A great spot for late evening drinks. The cottage retains it's 'old world' character, but with modern amenities to ensure you have a great stay. We think you'll love the large garden. The cottage retains it's 'old world' character, but with modern amenities to ensure you have a great stay. We think you'll love the large garden. It has lots of areas to sit in & to enjoy relaxing over food & drink or reading & talking, in the warmth of the sun. Enjoy a BBQ in the garden, light the Chimenea to keep yourselves warm later or take the portable beach BBQ and body boards to the beach for great fun. It has 2 bedrooms. A King size double bed in one & 2 single beds in the other. Great for 4 adults, a family, or indeed just a couple wanting to enjoy a peaceful break in a stunning part of the world. The front room is roomy, yet cosy at the same time. It has a great duel fuel fire for that real, authentic cottage feel, & warmth, on a cold evening. It has a very large walk in shower. The middle room is a peaceful haven if you wish to sit at the desk to catch up on anything (printer there for your use if required). The kitchen has everything you'll need for your break. If there is anything you think we've missed, please let us know. We're conscious that coming away for a few days and bringing 'everything & the kitchen sink!!' with you, can be a hassle. So we provide a base supply of everything we believe you'll need to get you going. This is not an exhaustive list, nor an unlimited supply, but we believe it should be enough to get you through your break; For the fire; logs, coal, lighters & kindling. For the shower room; soap, hand wash, shower gel & toilet rolls. For cleaning; clothes, scourers, various cleaners, dishwasher tablets, clothes washing liquid pods. For the kitchen (general); washing up liquid, kitchen roll, tin foil, clingfilm. For cooking/drinking; tea, filter coffee, instant coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, starter pint of milk. We welcome children, but please be aware that, as in any 2 storey house, there is a small flight of stairs up to the 2 bedrooms, and, as in a lot of old Cornish cottages, one step into each bedroom off the top landing. As the parents you are the only people able to make a judgement as to the mobility of your children, in regards to dealing with stairs in general, if they are very young. Please feel free to talk to us in more detail about this. If you are bringing a dog/s please respect the cottage as you would your own home ie dry them asap when coming in wet, keep them downstairs, keep them off the furniture & clean up any mess in the garden regularly. Many thanks. We do charge an extra £15 for a short stay £25 for the week per dog (max. 2) .This can be paid on arrival or bank transfer. We also appreciate that after a long trip you may just want to sit down and unwind. On arrival there will be a 'Genuine Cornish Welcome Pack' to help you do this (contents of this will vary depending on the season). Make yourself at home & please feel free to utilise anything you find at the cottage. Enjoy your stay.More

About the neighbourhood
St. Agnes has a great community spirit. There is always something on. You're welcome to join in. Look out for 'The Bolster', which will give you full details. It's a great place for family, couples or just friends alike. St Agnes has great pubs, cafes, restaurants & local shops. There is a beach within easy walking distance. By car you can get to other great beaches at Newquay, Perranporth, Crantock, Watergate Bay, St. Ives, Falmouth (too many to list!). Some of these are easily accessible by lovely walks along the SW Coast Path. There are lots of outdoor activities such as, kayaking, surfing, walking, coasteering etc. Truro is a lovely city for shopping & historic buildings, such as the magnificent cathedral, & is just a short drive away
Getting around
Local bus every hour into Truro or Newquay. Also local taxi company. There is generally ample, on street, parking. There is nearly always something available, mainly right outside of the cottage, but if not within 50-100 metres of the cottage.
