Tucked away amongst a small community of beach chalets and within a very few minutes' walk of the tremendous stretch of sands which runs from Hayle to Godrevy Point, An Mordros (Cornish for 'sound of the surf') is something of a revelation. At first sight similar to its neighbours, this beach house has been completely transformed into an imaginative and contemporary space. Its location, so close to the sea, makes it ideal for families, with three and a half miles of sandy beach, rock pools and caves to explore, acres of marram-grassed sand dunes – known locally as 'towans' - and some of the best surfing in the country. The South West Coastal Path passes close by and there are some good cycle routes in the area.

Entrance from parking area via 'courtyard' garden into a large, light-flooded, contemporary living space, open to roof height with an informal, relaxing sitting area and a large dining area by big glass doors, which open out onto an enclosed, private, patio. The gleaming white, open-plan kitchen has integral appliances including an induction hob. Overlooking the main living area is a mezzanine with glass balcony accessed by a fixed ladder with hand rail on each side - a wonderful eagle's eyrie affording glimpses of the sea through the house's top level triangular windows.

Three bedrooms: main bedroom with king-size double bed and French windows leading outside on both sides of the house; mezzanine area with casual seating and fold-down ladder. Small en-suite wet room/wc....
