About the neighbourhood
Visit Avebury and Stonehenge

Historic Avebury with its mystical ring of stones dates back to around 2600 BC and can be reached by car in 10 minutes or across the Ridgeway on foot for the more hardy. Whilst there you can visit the National Trust owned Avebury Manor whose renovations were the focus of a television documentary in recent years.

Silbury Hill, the largest, and perhaps the most enigmatic, of all megalithic constructions in Europe is just 1500 meters from Avebury, and Stonehenge some 30 miles from Tresco House.

Hungerford is just 10 miles from Tresco House and offers a true feast for the vintage, retro and antique enthusiast.
