The property has much to offer as does the area. We are located a stones throw (literally) from the Rochdale canal, and the Rivers Hebden and Calder. Surrounded in organic Cafés and wine bars, and some of the most spectacular walks in the country. The Sewing Rooms has been designed to make you as comfortable as possible so as you would expect, heating and water are complimentary 24 hours a day and you will find everything you would expect from a property at this standard such as a washer-dryer, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, pressed bedding is supplied and a very well kitted out kitchen, we try to provide everything you could possibly need. We now have a smart 3d Samsung tv along with a ps3 to play 3d bluray's. The Sewing Rooms is located in a conservation area, retains many features such as its sash windows, stairwell windows and oak beams. The property has been recently fully renovated and has had high performance glazing installed so when the town has worn you out, you will forget your still in it. Comfort has not been compromised either so you can expect comfortable memory foam beds throughout, comfy sofas and 2 of the most luxurious double sized baths. We have recently been told that we are vegan friendly too with the vegan bread shop next door, a health food shop a few doors down, a fabulous vegan cafe just over the road also and the co-op is good at stocking vegan friendly foods too. This is a truly remarkable place to stay in a truly remarkable part of the country. Following some pointers from previous guests, we would like to inform you that the property is based over 4 floors, so there are a fair few stairs. The ground being the entrance, the first has 2 bedrooms and the main bathroom, the second has the living/kitchen area and the third has the master bedroom with ensuite. Thanks for looking and we (Phill and Emma) hope to hear from you soon :-)

Christmas in the Sewing Rooms, Hebden Bridge
It was cosy and well equipped. Location is excellent, especially with parking vouchers. We enjoyed our stay. Easy to contact owner who was always helpful. Couldn’t find instructions about what to do with the rubbish or recycling.

Comfortable and handy for town.
Phill was very helpful.and communicative. The house was fine and comfortable .The traffic was a bit noisy if we opened the windows but it was fine with them shut. When the washing machine broke down they came with a new one the next day. We would have appreciated a small reduction because of the extensive roadworks in the street outside. Phill.offered to change dates but we had booked flights.

Fantastic flat in the heart of Hebden
7 of us had a fantastic stay at The Sewing Rooms. Fabulous location, comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. The kitchen area is fully equipped - lovely crockery! And proper sized mugs 👍Literally across the road from the Co-Op & above a gorgeous independent shop. Absolutely perfect for us and great comms all the way from Philip, re access, parking permits etc. Highly recommended 😀

Great position for everything
The Sewing Rooms in Hebden Bridge is in a great position on Market Street opposite the very handy Co-op small but very well stocked supermarket, it is perfectly placed to get to the canal 5 minutes walk ( if that) past the Co-op and the town centre which is only a short walk up Market Street with its mix of quirky shops and cafes over a bridge and round the corner where you will find plenty of independent shops and eateries and lovely buildings. The Sewing Rooms itself is a clean and comfy accommodation over 3 floors, the owners seem to have thought of nearly everything you could need in a self catering property and a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine, a very tasty cake, bacon, eggs, sausages and fresh milk were left for us, tea, coffee and sugar are also provided so you have something to refresh you straight away especially if you have had a long journey or arrive later at night. The owners are easy to contact and very generous with their welcome package and tell you to call if you need anything as they are not far away which is comforting to know in case of any problems. We had a lovely break, we chose the top bedroom where you can look out of the windows across rooftops to the greenery beyond. Although we slept well I did find the bed a little uncomfortable and too springy but that’s just me my hubby found it fine and I wouldn’t let it put me off returning. The kitchen and lounge area was spacious and comfortable and very well equipped, there is a dishwasher and a washer if needed. The baths were huge with a good shower over each of them. A big plus for us was that you get a parking permit to park in the street behind the building ( ( which we were able to do with no problems) which really is a bonus as a lot of places don’t have anywhere to park in small towns. All in all a lovely homely property with friendly generous owners, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again, which we are hoping to do once we have decided on a date.

Perfect holiday home
Great holiday home which was comfortable, had comfy beds and was well equipped. Great location in Hebden Bridge. Amazing welcome pack with milk, bacon, sausages and loads more which was a nice surprise and got us off to a good start, as were expecting to go to the co-op opposite for starter pack. Phil was great host and gave good instructions and checked that all okay on arrival.

Lovely property in Hebden Bridge
The Sewing Rooms offered a home from home in amongst local shops, restaurants and of course the Co-op just across the road. The property had everything we could need, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The provisions left were gratefully received after a long drive over. We particularly liked Cruze the tapas/cocktail bar in the pedestrianised area, Old Gate for a delicious meal and Coffee Cali. Had a lovely walk along the canal both ways, up to Castle Crags and took the bus to Howarth. Fitted a lot into three days!

Relaxing and just perfect !
Where do I start with the Sewing Rooms - good communication with the friendly owner, great price and fabulous accommodation! Really perfect for any length of stay as it has EVERYTHING at hand. Relaxing open plan sitting room/modern kitchen and 3 good sized bedrooms. I bagged the top attic room - huge bed, en-suite and views across the town. Furnished to a high standard but with such a relaxed cosy vibe … will definitely stay again 👍

Comfortable, central, parking.
Phil is a good host. There was a cake and the makings of breakfast awaiting us. The conversion is amazing, 2 double rooms and stylish bathroom on the 2nd floor, a large open plan kitchen, dining and seating area on the middle floor, the attic suite has a double bed, sofa bed, its own bathroom and views over the area. It is right in the heart of HB, supermarket across the road and many cafes, restaurants etc. Our family of 5 adults and 3 children enjoyed staying there. We hope to return and explore more.

Fab accommodation, perfect location
I booked the Sewing Rooms for a lovely relaxing long weekend with two female friends and we were definitely not disappointed! The location is great, in the same street as all our favourite shops and cafes, and the property was perfect for us with three double rooms giving us all plenty of personal space. The living space was also really fab, and as the weather wasn't on our side, we spent many a lovely hour relaxing and chatting on the big comfy sofas. The owners, Phill and Emma, go above and beyond in their efforts to make sure you have a great stay and for all these reasons, we were already discussing and planning our next stay before we even left! Very much looking forward to our return visit to Hebden and the Sewing Rooms, highly recommended.

About the neighbourhood
Hebden Bridge began as a Saxon settlement and was a town made famous for its weaving mills in the 19th and 20th century's when it was commonly called trouser town. Now described as that place where they build houses on mountains, it is a desired area for its craft shop, its industrial Canal and its café culture, boasting an excellent range in both food and drink, and the fabulous views and walks in the hills above. Its creative, bohemian streets are lined with artisan shops and inspiring galleries. We have an excellent music venue, a charming picture house, and even a theatre. It offers canal side walks, and surrounded in attractions such as the wooded Hard Castle Crag's, stunning places to see such as lumb falls and countless reservoir and moorland walks. Just down the road is Lancashire and the famous Bronte country. All the northern cities are within easy reach. Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, Bradford and York all being less than an hour away by car or train, It would be difficult to get bored here, and we are a short stroll to the train station.
