About the neighbourhood
Bleadon is a pretty village 3 miles south of the Victorian seaside town of Weston super Mare. The village is quietly situated with three places to eat in the evenings plus a very good Indian Restaurant that also offers a take away service. We have a village shop/post office and coffee shop within easy walking distance of Woodbine Cottage. You could pick up a morning newspaper and maybe have a coffee outside the coffee shop overlooking the croquet lawns. There are plenty of footpaths offering walks of shorter or longer distance. A map of the village showing all the various footpaths and bridleways is in the information folder in each cottage. The landscape in this area is undulating with occasional hills to explore.
Getting around
If you just wanted to visit Weston super mare there is a bus link that goes into town and you can travel home later in the day. Its not as frequent as it used to be but is adequate. From Weston super mare you can pick up buses that will take you to Wells, Cheddar and Axbridge. Burnham on sea can be visited by the bus that comes from Weston. Train travel is easy with the main line again in Weston super mare.
