Birchope Byre is situated 14 miles south of Shrewsbury in The South Shropshire Hills,Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that many people have yet to discover, so is ideal for a relaxing holiday without the crowds, yet with plenty to do. The stunning upland moorland of the Long Mynd is spectacular when the heather is in full bloom, and the drive over The Burway from Birchope Byre in Ratlinghope to the Little Switzerland of Church Stretton is unforgetable. While there, visit the National Trust Carding Mill Valley where children (and adults!) can play in the stream, walk to the Light Spout waterfall and enjoy teas and ice creams in the Pavillion cafe.
