Newly refurbished cottage in a tranquil wooded location within the South Downs National Park. The cottage has both woodland and garden views. Dark skies (for star gazing) and underfloor heating plus a wood burner for cosy evenings. Private patio area with table and chairs and a Weber barbeque, plus a picnic table for enjoying the peace and quiet of the little wood opposite.

Close to historic Petworth with Petworth House (National Trust) and historic Arundel (Arundel Castle); Chichester and Midhurst all within 15-30 minutes drive. We are very popular with walkers - many varied and wonderful walks and cycling from the front door, with lots of walking advice available. We welcome families and provide a little stash of age relevant games, books and DVDs. Many excellent local pubs and restaurants - two within 5 minutes drive.

A perfect place to relax. Well equipped, comfortable and clean. Hilary was very friendly and was on hand to offer advise about the area. My husband rated the shower "as best he'd ever had"

We found the stay in the cottage very relaxing. Owing to the lovely weather we managed to do many walk's some from the cottage door. Within easy reach off many popular towns and good pubs.

In the South Downs National Park, close to historic Petworth (2 miles) with Petworth House (National Trust). Historic Arundel (Arundel Castle); Chichester and Midhurst all within 15-30 minutes drive. We are very popular with walkers and cyclists - many varied and wonderful walks from the front door including up onto the downs and to the South Downs Way. Maps, routes and advice available. 25 minutes drive to the beach. Two good local/walkable pub/restaurants. 10 minute walk to a great little farm shop/cafe.
Getting around
Best enjoyed by car or for keen walkers/cyclists. We are 15 mins taxi ride from Pulborough Station and 20 minutes from Haslemere. There is a 2 hourly bus to Chichester and Petworth.

Ferry: Portsmouth: 60.0 km
We are 15 mins taxi ride from Pulborough Station and 20 minutes from Haslemere. There is a 2 hourly bus to Chichester and Petworth. We can be a little tricky to find, and will send you detailed driving instructions once you are booked. We welcome walkers and try to offer a pre-arranged station pick-up (free and subject to our own time commitments) for such guests when they book for three nights or longer - please enqjuire when you book..
