Set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the tiny village of Hopesay, lies nestled in the South Shropshire Hills, walks, peace, comfort, dark skies, yet within easy reach of the beautiful Medieval town of Ludlow and Church Stretton, Shropshire's own 'Little Switzerland' both approximately 10 miles.
Own private entrance on the ground floor with ensuite bathroom, well stocked tray and mini fridge with fresh milk, access to the dining room for our delicious full-cooked or continental breakfast (special diets catered for), using local produce whenever possible. Wonderful views.

On arrival ring bell on Linley door, should you arrive after dark our car park is well lit, with light over Linley door. Guests are welcome to use our garden and grounds with wildlife pool and seating, many walks from the door step on route of Shropshire Way. We are happy to help with all aspects of your stay, recommending walks, places to eat and visit etc. plenty of maps, menu's and tourist information available.

Sheila and Roger were the most welcoming and hospitable hosts that anyone could ask for. The accommodation was pristine and comfortable and the setting idyllic. Our breakfast was outstanding. We hope to visit again.

Quiet unspoilt area, 10 minute walk to Village Pub, Community Shop, Tea room.
Shropshire Hill's Discovery Centre 3 miles,. Your first port of call to find all there is to see, do and explore, discover more about the local food, history and landscape of the Shropshire Hills with hands-on exhibition for all the family, 30 acre Onny Meadow great to explore, well signposted for gentle strolls along riverside paths, through wild flowers and woodland, all ability cycle path and walks. Fishing permits are available, while waiting for a bite you may spot a Kingfisher or Red Kite. Shop with maps and leaflets, excellent licensed café, using fresh locally grown and prepared food.
We can recommend many local pubs and restaurants close by.

Heart of Wales (request stop) railway station at Broome 1 1/2 miles and mainline station and bus service at Craven Arms 3 miles.

Railway: Broome: 2.0 km
Leave the A49 at Craven Arms on the B4368 sign posted Clun Turn right in Aston-on-Clun over the bridge signed Hesterworth & Hopesay. Go past the entrance to Hesterworth House (shortly after the Hopesay sign), past Hesterhaven (which is alongside the road on the right hand side with a tall brick wall), immediately after Hesterhaven turn right over cattlegrid. You will see a Farmstay sign. Follow the road around the bend to the right and then up a steep bank to the left by another Farmstay sign. Ring the bell on Linley Cottage door, should you arrive after dark our car park is well lit also light over Linley Cottage door. If you are using a sat nav the postcode is SY7 8EX. If you want to use mainly main roads, put a via point of Craven Arms
